Work in progress.

Don't mind the dust!

Using Assets

I went to school for 3D modeling and that was fun but... it's even more fun to work with and manipulate the assets after they have been created! I love using all the pieces to tell a story.

Animation

It's hard to tell stories without motion. Bringing scenes to life is awesome - I've used a wide range of tools in multiple engines and enjoy them all.

Environments

Out of everything, environments are probably the coolest space to be working. It's rewarding to make the world feel alive with the subtle touch of a master's hand.

Optimization

Making games go fast is like playing a good game of Jenga. Using our limited pieces, I build the tower as high and magnificent as possible without it crashing down. I like to make the impossible -possible.

Solutions

With so many moving parts, it's important to have a clear vision of how the game will look and function. Many times the answer to one question is buried deep within a question you have yet to ponder.

Simulations

A game wouldn't be a game without some simulation. I love physics engines in particular for all the emergent gameplay that can delight even seasoned players.

Audio

Fifty percent of the visual audio experience. Half of the magic in games comes from the whimsical interactions audio enables. With experience using both fmod and Wwise, I know what a difference good tools can make for the team.

UI

Launchers, menus, HUDs, oh my! User Interfaces are everywhere inside and out. I like to put the 'fun' in 'functional' UI.

All the Latest

Keeping up-to-date with the latest development techniques is important in any industry - luckily I enjoy it too!

Everything Else

Whether it's pipelining a new project, writing dialogue, designing gameplay, or fixing bugs: the work that falls in between the cracks is what matters most.

The many team members from diverse disciplines can't pass work perfectly. That means it's up to me to bring all the pieces together and ensure no detail is missed.
